Montessori ready or not!
We went and filled out our paper work to get Hunter all ready to go to his school! We also got his bag packed ready to go. He met his teacher and is ready to go! He will start on February 13. Until then he is going to go to Kelly's house.

Doing better!
We went to the doctor yesterday and Hunter weighed 11lbs 12 oz. He was 23 inches long.
She prescribed Zantac and also said to start giving Hunter 2 oz of water a day. He did not like water! It came out too fast and tasted funny!
We are currently drinking Enfamil soy formula.
Today we went all over town shopping with Kelly and Kylie! We had lots and lots of fun!
He was a very happy happy baby all day, besides about 5 minutes because mommy accidentally bumped his head getting him out of his swing. No bump though! So we are good! Not getting a mommy award today! Maybe tomorrow!
Dad was home with us all day and is planning on being home the rest of the week since its our last couple days to enjoy hunter before mom starts work on Monday!

Huh?
Looks like I celebrated too soon. I really hope not though... Hunter had a great morning and I was feeling rather confident that the issue was solved and I would have my normal baby boy back! But then 3:00 rolled around. (This is the part when the blog is more for my personal diary for medical purposes to look back on than actual reading material for our friends and family. So dont feel the need to have to continue reading if this will gross you out! Its not too bad.)
Around three this afternoon, during his feeding Hunter started to grunt and act like he was having a bowel movement. Normally it is a couple grunts and then we are in the clear. These grunts just kept going....only it lasted over an hour with uncontrollable crying/squealing. After he finally stopped I took him to go look what in the heck happened down there and he literally passed a hard ping pong ball. THAT POOR BOY!
Being the first time mom that I am, I immediately called Ben upset... he said that it was probably because we switched the formula yesterday and I should not worry. (I felt like this was easily said from the tractor seat and not the front row seat that I had with the uncomfortable little one.) So I called the nurse, and she said that we needed to wait 48 hours on the new formula before we could make any more decisions. I knew they were probably going to tell me something along those lines but it eased my heart to know that I did what I could. She said to "stimulate" him on his hiny with a thermometer or a warm cloth. We went for a warm bath (he needed one anyway because that soy is some stinky stuff) and a warm cloth... Nothing yet.
He also has been really spit-upy.. on this new formula..Still not used to having that...Note to self: Do not wear your nice cashmere sweater when you feed him. You will inevitably be going to the dry cleaners the next day. Lesson Learned.
During his last feeding for the night he only ate 2 oz. I had given him the Johnson's night time bath treatment right before, and lathered him up in the night time lotion, so I am hoping that it is just some strong aromatherapy stuff... Or during the bath from all of his screams from hating water so much he just tuckered himself plum out. Interested to see how our night will go.

Went to the doctor today!
Enough is enough! This poor boy was still uncomfortable!
The baby boy weighed 11.3 lbs, and was 23 inches long! He sure has grown!
She switched us to Soy, and Hunter has done fantastic all day! I wish we would have done that sooner.

6 weeks old....
Wow! We are 6 weeks old today! Hunter was in a great mood for the majority of the day. He seems to be doing well on Dr. Brown's bottles. We increased his formula by a 1/2 ounce. (4.5 ounces total). As we were looking at the blog, it showed us how many views it had and where all the people lived that were viewing it. After doing the blog for 6 weeks, here are his stats..
1734 in total!
Very Awesome that Hunter has people checking on him from so close to soo soo far away!
Several firsts today. 1) Went out with the family to eat lunch at Orlando's. (Hunter has only been to the doctor and church....) 2) Dad, Mom, Maddie, and Abby all went for a walk around the neighborhood. We had a great time!
Today, (While Hunter was completely content...I might add) Dad announced that he was going to be going to the farm for a little while. He went and changed and then came out to tell us bye. Below is the silly boys reaction.
Mom thought she would send Dad a video of the scream-fest ballad that Dad left.... Since Ben thought it was funny to send me two videos of him perfect yesterday! He was still crying when Dad got home...But was more fighting sleep..When Dad got home, he crashed. Of Course.
Papa Boog and Mimi left to go back home to Dalhart today. We have already started using one of Mimi's phrases when Hunter does one of his many precious sneezes....."Oh SCAT".
Here are a couple pictures before and after our first Stroller ride around the neighborhood!

New bottles and the Lockman's!
Hunter has had a terrible past couple of days with some serious belly pains. He has been letting air explode out both ends. And yes the word explode does not even begin to cover it. The main part of our day is in screams or tears followed by a Zonk out time from working our self up. I don't want to change his formula again until we can talk to the doctor, so until then I did some research and many moms suggest using Dr. Brown bottles. We shall give it a try!
We are very glad and thankful that Hunters Great-Grandparents have been here this weekend. They have been so much help and company! We will post some pictures of them tomorrow!
The Lockman's came to see Hunter today, I'm so sad I didn't think to take a picture. We were so excited to see them! Hunter was upset a little and uncomfortable but Julie had the perfect touch with Hunter, and he slept for an hour after they left! Thank you Julie!!!!
This is so about par, but a quick story and videos none the less...
Hunter has been so upset all day and even as Ben walked in from the farm late this evening. I was bound and determined to go try these new bottles desperate for the little guy to stop crying....so I left the boy with dad, literally screaming.
These are the videos I received from Ben literally as I am walking in the doors of Target. Argh! Little Turkey's! They planned it I know!

A whirlwind of a week...
My dearest Hunter,
I have not written on your blog in almost a week! I am so sorry. Dad and I have been very busy, tired and concerned this last week. Your dad has been exhausted caring for you day and night (you have not been yourself this week..and that has made us concerned for you and has been very hard on your daddy's sleep ) he has been helping me throughout this week all on top of being sick himself and working on the farm (what an amazing man). I had surgery to get my gallbladder removed last friday...6 days ago. It has been a slow healing process. I am not supposed to lift you which had made this week mentally exhausting for me, because prior to this week I have not put you down...not even for a nap...you are glued to me, we are one. I have prayed so hard for you...you are so precious and I want to enjoy every second God has given me with you! The only time I will let go of your beautiful self is for bed in your crib. You are such a big boy for sleeping in your nursery at such a young age. We have had lots of help this week. Your Grammy came down to Lubbock to be with you during mommy's surgery, and stayed until Tuesday. Your Auntie Em came on Tuesday and left today. Nana and Granddaddy came last Thursday and Grandaddy left Friday, Nana has been in and out since Thursday..just a phone call away, and has been here almost everyday this week to see us both. Poppy has dropped in almost everyday as well to bring your mom a cherry coke and kiss your forehead. Your great-grandparents Papa Boog and Mimi are coming in the morning and will be here until Monday. Wow! What an amazing family that you have that love you very much! Your dad and I cannot thank them enough. We could not physically have done it with all of their efforts together. I personally am looking forward to getting to love on you without restriction. I'll tell you a little secret..I keep crying to your Dad that you are going to forget me..... That with all of this wonderful help God has given us, (he knew we needed all of it)..you are going to think that someone else is your Mom that is getting to hold you. So even so, as ridiculous as that sounds, when mommy's tummy gets better we have a lot of time to make up!
We love you more than you know,
Mom and Dad

New...well..read on.
We moved Hunter up to the next size nipple on his bottle. All of a sudden the little stinker was only drinking half of his bottle. That is definitely not my boy. My boy drinks his bottle and sometimes acts like he wants more. So this disturbed momma and daddy checked his temperature...(no temp), then we googled. Yes, you are reading right. We Googled. It said that he might just be getting lazy and not wanting to work so hard to get milk. So we increased the size and BEHOLD he is devouring his bottles once again. That silly boy! What did people do before the Internet? Before google? So far I have surprised myself and even googled what poop should look like when I thought he might have loose stools. (He doesn't, and now we have a chart to compare! Haha)
Nana came this evening and held the boy for awhile, helped me put him to bed, and introduced Hunter to some Kenny G for bedtime music. I never thought of playing him something to go to bed to!? (Thats what moms are for!) He loved it! That Kenny knocked him right out! Grateful for the time we got with her this evening!

4 weeks old
This has been the most amazing 4 weeks of Ben and I's life. Learning and getting to parent together, love a new life together more than we ever could imagine, and care for the most incredible gift from our father in heaven. We cherish all the sleepless nights and are truly looking at each day as the best blessing getting to hold and love on our little man. What an honor that God chose us to raise this angel.
Praying for Hunters tummy to feel better. He had a rough day, and it is looking like a rough night is ahead.

4 oz..
Hunter is officially increased to 4 oz.... Next time we increase him we will have to get a bigger bottle! Wow! What a growing boy! He does not drink it all every time yet, but he likes the opportunity and possibility to have more when he wants it. He always drinks 3.5 oz. and that extra .5 is a bonus!
Great day today. He was very happy!
He is starting to really put those hands by his bottle! And his eyes get really big when he hears the "pop" of the lid coming off the bottle! Ha!

Surprises are sweet!
Last night we had a pretty rough night. Hunter did not let mom go to bed until 3:50 a.m. Then he went back to bed until 5 and Dad took over and was up with him until 10:30 a.m. Hunter decided to go to sleep and really did not wake up until about 9 o'clock tonight. I sure hope we do not have a repeat of last night!
Mom sure enjoyed holding hunter all day today we watched several movies like the original Sabrina with Audrey Hepburn.
Today we got the best surprise in the mail from Mimi and Papa Boog! They sent Hunter the CD that has his name on it! So Fun!

Happy Birthday Poppy...
Somehow I fell asleep without posting this yesterday...so here is what it said:
Today we celebrated Poppys 56th birthday! We watched a western and he held Hunter almost the whole time.

Tummy failure and a rollover...
During our tummy-time this afternoon we could not get that little stinker to wake up!
He also rolled over on his side during his nap! Holy smokes!
